Let us assume you are wearing blinders and moving on a certain path where along the way you have an alluring glimpse of mother nature on your right, a sunset on the ocean over your left and the pretty sky above you. But as you are still wearing those blinders, you can only look forward to the path you are moving on. Now think if someone claims it to be freedom, would you trust? I say, never.

The same things happen within a country with democratic or maybe partial democracy because even though you are supposed to avail the rights but they are in mere disguise since it’s only benefiting a particular ruling party. Everyone enjoys it, but the common people.

An example would be, The General Elections, 2019 — India. Where people of India voted directly for the Prime Minister and not parliament members assigned on to their areas. The electors were blindfolded with an image made up in the minds thinking as if they are directly voted for the Prime Minister itself. Whereas, in a democracy this is absurd. India is a country which follows the rule of a Parliamentary Democracy, where people of the country vote for members of the Parliament (of a party) and then with due respect to the speaker of the Parliament, these members vote for a chosen member which thus become the Prime Minister with extensive votes. Whereas, the role of the president is predominant. So this time, this does not happen. The country befuddled by the predecessor ruling party not keeping in mind the basic fundamental of democracy, totally forgot to look at whom they are voting, voted for the utmost leader, or keeping in mind the present conditions, the dictator.

Political parties are the ones which are meant to help people, know their needs, provide rights to the deserving, give and not take, etc. which they have to first portray, create places in peoples’ mind as well as hearts and thus become Government which plays a further prominent role with the above told and maker of law enforcement and such additional work. After all, this comes the secondary, such as the Economy of a country. But all this has become fictional and counterfactual. Now, the government’s main role would be to multiply money, land, etc. and service to citizens being the side one. Once, I watched a moving with a similar genre, where it said that the first step in converting a democracy into dictatorship is to purchase (legally hijack) the media and every other news source which people completely rely on. The thing hit me within, right in the soul. Or maybe I was new to all this?

With this, I end up with my first blog/article depicting my thoughts and views on how ignorant we as a citizen have become, maybe if I would be successful with maintaining consistency in writing such articles — not only mine but readers’ thinking would be reawakened too.
